FAQs on Construction
Do you know any good builders?
We’ve developed great working relationships with quality builders and sub-contractors. During the early design stages, we’ll facilitate discussions with up to 3 of them to obtain ballpark pricing and help you identify the best fit to build your project.
Having the builder on board early in the process is crucial to arriving at the desired results in a cost-effective and timely manner. They’ll also be much more familiar with the ins-and-outs by the time construction begins.
Can I live in my house while work is going on?
It depends. Sometimes we’re able to stage the process such that a majority of the work is doable with minimal impact to living conditions. However, it will add time and cost to the project, and some jurisdictions will not allow occupancy until the permit is closed out.
What is your role during construction?
Our job is to act as your representative during construction to ensure everything is built according to the design and facilitate answering any questions or issues that may arise.
Once construction nears completion, we’ll do a walkthrough with you and the contractor to write up a punch list of remaining items to help get the project closed out so you can move in!
