Project Spotlight: Prospect Ridge Addition
We recently wrapped up an addition in Haddon Heights for some truly wonderful clients!
After living in the home for decades (not to mention climbing to the 3rd floor for their bedroom!), they decided it was time for some overdue improvements. Their needs list was not uncommon: more space for living and entertaining, part of which could be converted in the future to a main-level bedroom, plus a new full bathroom. All of which was to be added in a manner that respected the character of the original home but also improved the overall curb appeal. Most importantly, however, was a large window with a deep sill for their dog to keep watch over the front yard!
On top of that, their lot was quite undersized and well above the limits for impervious coverage, so we had to seek a variance before we could proceed with building permits and construction. To mitigate the coverage as best as possible, we replaced the entire driveway with a permeable paver system that allows for water infiltration, thus reducing the overall coverage.
